Joan and Evelyn and all their Dogs

1)What problems were you having with your pets: Charlie-Our Golden would bark incessantly Not coming when called. Not listening to commands. Chasing any other animal or person to intimidate. Rough wrestling with the puppies. Getting on the furniture. Would not heal or obey any commands (He had been trained by two other so called trainers)

Our 2 Miniature Schnauzer puppies: Barking when not wearing anti bark collars, jumping up on people all of the time, not house broken, chewing on everything in sight ,very destructive on furniture, chewing cushions, plants, tables, chairs, wild behavior, unable to walk on a leash, run away from me and not come when called,

3)Would you recommend us to a friend: Yes

4)Please write a brief testimony as to the positive effects of our training on you and your pet:

Charlie listens to commands and obeys now. Heels on command. Comes when called. He doesn’t climb on the furniture anymore. He no longer chases moving objects. All of his incessant barking has disappeared. He no longer wrestles with the puppies. Overall, he is a well behaved pet. Problems with puppies resolved. Puppies returned one month later. They are a lot different – no longer a wild bunch, no jumping up, and they no longer chew everything in site. They no longer run away and they come when called. Overall, they are well behaved and well trained puppies.
We could not be more appreciative of your efforts and talents. You all provided us with weekly return visits to work with the puppies and Charlie.

We are so appreciative of the magic he performed on our dogs. We are not sure if we can ever thank you enough!

1)What problems were you having with Koda: Unruly / out of control. Putting His mouth on people that came into the house. Aggressive towards other Dogs. I was considering giving him back to the breeder
2)Were we able to fix the problem: Yes
3)Would you recommend us to a friend: Yes
4)Please write a brief testimony as to the positive effects of our training on you and your pet:

Koda is a different dog. He walks well on a leash in a heal pattern.Does not jump on people anymore or put his mouth on them.He listens much better and is calmer. He is enjoyable We wouldnt trade Him for the world.us. We are in another training class and Koda was so out of control nobody would stand near us.The only positive side to us being there was we were the distraction. We were creating that and that aided the other handlers while working with their dogs to ignore the distractions. At the end of the session Koda and I both were exhausted. Then I called you all for training, and now we get complements on how well behaved he is.Now that we have our basic training everything else that needs to be done is a piece of cake.He is more responsive to new commands and continues to make progress.

Julie and Her Dog Sante

2)Were we able to fix those problems: Yes

3)Would you recommend us to a friend: Yes

4)Please write a brief testimony as to the positive effects of our training on you and your pet:

I actually needed the training and I learned a Great deal, especially self-confidence.Also I had not realized that when a dog knows a command and performs it once It remembers this command. This helped me to keep my cool and remain consistent.

Carl and I wish to express our sincere appreciation for the wonderful job you did training our Brittany puppy Molly. Being from a very high-spirited breed, Molly’s strong will was proving to be too much for us. Your techniques have allowed us to develop effective ways with which to address our issues with her and to maintain a loving relationship with her at the same time.

I think the aspect that impressed me most was the very logical and practical way you addressed her issues. You took the time to observe Molly and recognized her individual needs rather than using generic methods that may or may not have applied to her. As a result, her training needs were met in a relatively short time and continue to be effective while we maintain consistency with her.

You communicated extremely well with us, as well as with Molly. Your explanations of the philosophies supporting you training methods helped us to better understand Molly’s issues and how the training technique would address these needs.

Sincerely,

A TRUE LIFESAVER

We brought to our home a 10 week old black ball of fur.  Our ball of fur grew and as she did so became a fearful, timid, aggressive German Shepherd monster.  We had to keep her away from strangers, in or out of our house.

Recognizing a serious situation, we turned to the Classified Ads and found what seemed to be an answer to our problem.  A home consultation with the trainer was arranged.  The puppy performed as she did around all strangers-aggressive, vicious barking, fur up and tail between her legs.  Upon seeing this we were told she was incorrigible, a danger to everyone including us and euthanasia was the only answer.  We were devastated, but not convinced that there was no other solution.

Back to the Classified Ads.  This time we found “My Dog Needs Help”.  That was definitely true!  Another home consultation, this time with an actual expert with this breed and aggressive dogs (YOU).  The puppy reacted just as she did to the first trainer.  However, the trainer said “She is not incorrigible.  I can and will work with her”.  Our prayers were answered.

With infinite patience, skill, love and lots of hot dog bites,  you won her trust and friendship.   After six sessions, she now walks by our side when leashed, stays until called and greets strangers with a friendly bark welcoming their pat on her head.

I just want to thank both of you for all of your help with my 4 dogs.Jerry you have given me the tools that I need to have a pack of dogs that will work well together.Beth,Jerry has said so many wonderful things about you, especially the way you are able to talk with the dogs (get them to come out of their shells)I also want to thank you for all you have and continue to do for Grando.I know that when all the dogs are home that I will have the tools necessary to make this work.I truly don’t know how I would have survived this phase of my dogs life without you.

Good Afternoon Jerry,
I wanted to tell you that Catalina passed her test yesterday.  She did very well and i was very pleased w/ her!  We also adopted a second dog last week.  He is a HUGE pit bull that weighs in at 100 lbs and we named him Sarge.  He also passed the test w/ Catalina yesterday so we are legal w/ my home owners insurance.

Just wanted to update you on Will.  It did take about a month or so before he got used to us but he is totally in love with both my husband and I!  Other than getting on the furniture when we are not home, (the sneaky little guy!) he is absolutely perfect!  I did however, have to make some concessions about the cleanliness of my home but he is very much worth it!

We love him very much and we are so grateful to you for bringing him into our lives!  He will get to try camping with us soon!

Jerry I am finally taking  a minute out to e-mail you and say once again  “Thank-You”. You came to my home on March 5th and picked up my son’s dog (who has become my dog). Bixie is a almost 3 year old Jack Russell and Spitz mixed. He was very high strung, liked to bark a lot, but the worst thing was that he would bark and go after people he was afraid of. This included children. Behind closed doors Bixie is a fun loving dog. Whenever he felt threatened he would attack people. I had so many people tell me that I should have him put down or get rid of him. I have grown very attached to him and decided he never really had a fair chance from the beginning. So when my son moved out Bixie was my problem. I was told about your service and made the call. It was the best phone call I could have ever made. You took Bixie for a month and he came home with a new and better life. Bixie is not afraid any more and listens so well.!! I now have the family and friends come to our home and they cannot believe this is the same dog. I am so proud of him and all that he has accomplished. Thanks for making Bixie’s life so much better and mine as well. I will highly recommend you to anyone that needs help with their dog. I hope that this letter will help other people that may be thinking there is no way to fix your dog’s problem. I am a true believer that everyone deserves a second chance!!! Thank you so very much! And I look forward to doing future business with you!,
